    Studio Acting Conservatory — DC's home for serious actor training — is hosting a two-day Physical Theatre Workshop designed to expand how you communicate onstage. You'll explore non-verbal storytelling, movement-based character work, and how physicality can bring a scene to life. Through playful theatre games, creative partnering, and choreography exercises, you'll develop new tools to grow your performance — no dance experience required.

    Alex Mills is a DC based actor and educator focusing on movement and body awareness to enhance an actor’s physicality onstage. He has performed and worked in the area for over 17 years utilizing and implementing a blend of musicality, physicality, and creative self-expression. Through this class, we will explore how to translate text into the body and how specific physical gesture can enhance and color the characters we embody.
